Applicable scope: tube bundle condenser is a kind of heat exchange equipment, it is widely used in chemical industry, pharmaceutical, oils and fats processing and etc enterprises. In oil extraction process, using this equipment to condense and recover the solvent mixed gas, so as to cyclic utilization.

3. Operating principle and main structure:
Circulating water (temperature is below 25 ºC) comes from circulating pool enters into the tube side of tube bundle condenser from the water inlet tube (low position), and flows out from the upper water outlet. Mixed gas enters into shell side from the mixed gas tube, and performing heat exchanging with the reverse flow cooling water through many baffles, thus make most of the solvent gas change into liquid after cooling and condensation, and then enters into the combined tank for water and solvent separating through solvent recovery tube, while the gas which has not condensed enters into the balance tower from free gas outlet tube.
The tube bundle condenser mainly consists of head, barrel, heat exchange tube, tube plate, baffles, mixed gas inlet, free gas outlet, solvent recovery mouth, circulating water inlet and outlet, etc.
4. Equipment installation:
In hoisting process, the tube bundle condenser shall be handled softly, to prevent impacting from damaging the equipment. Horizontal tube bundle condenser shall be fixed on the prefabricated platform according to the layout of equipment. When installed, in order to facilitate stop operating and drainage, and prevent pipes freezing in winter, both ends of the saddle support shall be left height difference of 30mm. Arrange the condensed water pipeline from the low to high, and connect each flange nozzle properly. The tube bundle condenser shall be set a water outlet on one end while a emptying mouth an the other end, to ensure that when the equipment stop operating can emptying circulating water.
5. After the tube bundle condenser is in place, open water inlet valve to provide water for leak testing, check whether or not the equipment, connecting flanges and valve subject to water leakage phenomenon. The equipment shall be qualified on the premise that there is no leakage after the tube side maintains working pressure of 0.25MPa for 30 minutes, and then the equipment can be put into use.
6. Operation and safety regulations:
Before providing solvent, the air in the tube side of tube bundle condenser and in pipeline shall be exhausted through emptying opening. Make sure a good circulating condition of cooling water in the tube bundle condenser and without working blind angle of circulating water.
To ensure condensation effect, the pressure of water into the tube bundle condenser shall be less than 0.25MPa, the temperature shall be less than 25ºC. The outlet water temperature shall be less than 40ºC in general.
When stop operating in winter, the circulating water in tube bundle condenser and pipeline shall be discharged timely, protect the heat exchange tube from frost damaging due to cold weather.
7.Common failures and troubleshooting:
The Operator shall immediately take measures, or to submit to relevant departments for handling once the product appears one of the following circumstances in use:
A.If the working pressure and media temperature exceed process required value, the process shall be adjusted.
B.If the welds of the tube bundle condenser subject to crack, deformation and leakage, the equipment shall be stopped promptly for maintenance.
C.Perform dredging and cleaning timely if the heat exchange effect of the tube bundle condenser is not good thus affects the solvent recovery effect.
D.Other accidents occur around, and directly threat safe operation.
8. Maintenance:
During production, shall frequently check operating condition of the tube bundle condenser, check the temperature of inlet and outlet water as well as the temperature of solvent recovery mouth and free gas outlet. If water is found inside the shell, the condenser surface is overheated, the solvent recovery amount suddenly increased and etc, it is timely to find out the reasons, after the equipment returned to normal, it can be put into operating.
According to different circumstance of water quality and dirt deposition of various regions, perform regularly clean after the tube bundle condenser has been used for a period of time, high pressure gun can be used for flushing shell side; The sediment shall be discharged from slagging hole; The tube side fouling can be removed by the methods of chemical cleaning or mechanical cleaning.
For winter and the cold northern areas, when perform water pressure test or stop operating in plant, the water in tube bundle condenser shall be emptying to protect the tubes and equipment from frost damaging.
Use nude transportation for the whole equipment. Avoid impacting when loading and unloading during transportation and carrying. The equipment shall be stored in open-air condition, covered with tarpaulins to prevent the rain.
